Why did you begin using OnPoint?

The task of trying to obtain prior authorizations is daunting, and we have an extremely busy office. There are not enough hours in the day. Our ophthalmic assistant was sure OnPoint would be so helpful to us. She was right.

How is OnPoint different from other pharmacies?

OnPoint has been hassle free. They are taking care of all prior authorizations, which was a huge problem in our office. The prior authorization process is extremely time consuming, and we just do not have the time or resources.

What are the key benefits OnPoint provides you and your staff?

The biggest benefit would be the prior authorizations. It has allowed me to work-up patients again, and stop working from my home. Another benefit is getting the medication for our patients at the lowest possible cost.

How are you engaging patients with OnPoint?

We explain that we can send the Rx anywhere they want. However, if their insurance requires a prior authorization, the Rx will be resent to OnPoint. Our patients seem to be OK with it.

What advice would you have for eye care doctors who are not yet using OnPoint?

Give OnPoint a chance to show you what they can do, and how much easier that makes it for your office.
